Low cost airline carrier, Arajet president Víctor Pacheco announced the opening of a Santiago to Bogotá direct flight during the 42nd Anato International Tourism Showcase 2023. This year, the Dominican Republic was the guest of honor country at the leading travel fair.
Pacheco announced that to start, the flight would operate twice a week from Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago to El Dorado Airport (BOG) in Bogotá.
José Clase, vice-president of the Cibao International Airport, said in Santiago that the airline can count on all the facilities in the terminal and the support of the city of Santiago to achieve the success of this operation.
The announcement was part of the actions by the Ministry of Tourism to promote Santiago, the country’s second largest city, as a travel destination.
