Drivers heading to and from Las Terrenas on the mountain road that connects to Sánchez on the south of the northeastern Samaná peninsula need to take extra caution when handling the curves. N Digital reports that rains have caused a slide of the pavement on the already narrow road.
The alternative to the road is the likewise curvy toll road, the Boulevard del Atlantico that runs from the Samana toll road from Santo Domingo to nearby the Samana international airport crossing to get to Las Terrenas bordering the north side of the peninsula.
Las Terrenas is a beach town located on the northcentral side of the Samaná peninsula.
