The event is a qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2024 in 2024. The Dominican women won 15-0. The Dominican Republic is ranked 8th in the world. Dominica is 30th.
The game is part of the 2023 Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship, in which 27 teams are vying for six berths in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2024. The star of the night was Angelina Vargas (6’, 11’, 33’, 44’, 73’, 78’), who had six goals.
The CWU20 Championship is divided into six groups with the winners of each group will join the United States and Mexico for the finals from 24 May to 3 June at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristóbal in the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic is playing in Group C – DR, Guyana, Surinam, Grenada and Dominica from 15 to 23 April 2023. The team plays Surinam on Monday, 17 April and then Guyana on 19 April.
In its opening game, team Canada also set a 15-0 record against Martinique.
