DNCD arrests accused dangerous Dutch gang leaders

The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) reported the arrest of three fugitives of Dutch justice. These were identified as Dutchman Dennis Goedee, said to be part of the La Mocro Maffia. Goedee is sought by Dutch authorities for drug trafficking and asset laundering.Also Urvin Laurence Wawoe (Nuto) and Terence Angelo Richard de Vries, both members of the No Limit Soldiers that operates in Curacao.

These persons are accused of participating in murders, kidnappings, bribery of public officials and even threats to Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Crown Princess Amalia.

Dennis Goedee was arrested at Bohechio Street in Ensanche Quisqueya. He is linked to La Mocro Mafia.

Urvin Laurence Wawoe was arrested at Torree Villa Palmera in Naco. He is tied to No Limit Soldier.

Terence Angelo Richard de Viries was arrested at Calle General Cambiazo in Torre Shalom III, Naco.

On Monday, 17 April 2023, in a follow-up to the initiative that led to the arrest of the three fugitives, Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo at Blue Mall on Av. Winston Churchill was searched and then shut down. One of the partners of Hard Rock Café is tied to the night spot.

The DNCD reported it seized luxury vehicles and other assets said to be owned by the arrested.

In a development related to the arrests, the DNCD reported that three DNCD agents who had participated in the searches that led to the arrest of the three fugitives were removed from the organization. These were identified as Luis Gonzalez, Wilton Guzman and Fernando Guzman, who according to the DNCD, kept money removed during the search operations. Likewise, the DNCD said that after being questioned, the canceled DNCD agents admitted to the accusation and returned the evidence.

Diario Libre reports on several other recent arrests of international fugitives of justice. One of the other recent arrests happened on 22 March 2023 when Andrea Dudia, a fugitive of justice in Hungary was arrested in Bavaro, Punta Cana. She had been hiding here since 2012 when she was sentenced to 15 years in jail for bank fraud. She was a housewife with a Dominican spouse. Likewise, on 11 March, Interpol Santo Domingo arrested an Italian Fabio Cappelleta, 59 years old, in a parking lot in Punta Cana. He is accused of a financial scam in Italy.
