The Second Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice will hear on 19 April 2023 the request for coercive measures for foreigners Dennis Goedee, Urvin Laurence Wawoe and Terence Angelo Richard de Vries arrested in the Dominican Republic last weekend. They are accused of belonging to mafia structures dedicated to murder, drug trafficking and other crimes, deputy prosecutor Andres Chalas told Diario Libre. The Netherlands has requested the men in extradition.
Judges Francisco Jerez Mena, president, and Fran Soto, Francisco Ortega Polanco, Nancy Salcedo and María Garabito will hear the precautionary measure against the accused.
As reported in the media, the men lived lives of luxury for years in the Dominican Republic. Goedee had been arrested for drug trafficking in the Dominican Republic in 2015 but managed to keep his assets and a life of luxury in the Dominican Republic.
