
47-year old Dennis Goedee, Urvin Laurence Wawoe and Terrence Angelo Richard de Vries are sought in extradition by the government of The Netherlands.
Goedee was arrested in the Dominican Republic as part of an operation related to the criminal networks Mocro Mafia and No Limits. As part of the same law enforcement operation, Urvin Laurence Wawoe from Curacao and Terrence Angelo Richard de Vries were arrested.
In a report in Diario Libre, Freddy Castillo, Goedee’s defense lawyer, denied the accusation of drug trafficking. He said the client can only be accused of asset laundering. He said his client was left free after reaching an agreement with the Attorney General Office (PGR) following charges of drug trafficking dating back to 2015. Castillo said his client was sentenced in 2019 to eight years in jail, including four years of domiciliary arrest that he already met and four with full mobility.
The lawyer told reporters he does not know what Dennis Goedee does for a living and that he does not have to know about the private life of his client. He told Diario Libre that he is only knowledgeable about the extradition request made by The Netherlands.
Tomas Castro, lawyer of Urvin Laurence Wawoe of Curacao, said he does not know about the charges against his client. Urvin Laurence Wawoe told reporters that he is not part of the No Limit Soldier criminal network. Wawoe is accused of drug trafficking and contract-killing.
Lawyer Jose Rafael Ariza representing Terrence Angelo Richard de Vries of The Netherlands said he requested the postponement because he was unaware of the charges affecting his client.
Diario Libre reports that a Google search revealed that Terrence Angelo Richard de Vries was accused of murder in Suriname in 2014. Another search reveals he was arrested in 2016 in Amsterdam on charges of drug and firearms trafficking
The Supreme Court of Justice has yet to decide on the extradition case of the three. The court postponed the decision on the extradition for 26 April 2023.
Participacion Ciudadana issued a statement criticizing the deals reached by the Attorney General Office in cases with clear evidence of wrongdoings, such as the recent case of Dennis Goedee.

Hoy newspaper reports that Urvin Laurence Wawoe had been arrested here in 2013 but reached a deal with state prosecutors.
