Participación Ciudadana, the civic society think tank, urges the authorities to investigate who among Dominican authorities were protecting the three men with criminal records now sought in extradition by the government of The Netherlands.
Only after the recent arrest of Dutch citizens Dennis Goedee, Urbin Laurence Wawoe and Terence Angelo Richard de Vries was it publicly known that these have ties to criminal networks in The Netherlands. In the Dominican Republic, for years, the men led a life of luxury, carrying out millionaire investments. For instance, it is now known that Goedee is the leading investor in Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo.
