The National Ballet Festival continues at the National Theater in Santo Domingo with performance of “Estaciones” at 8:30pm on Friday, 12 May and Saturday, 13 May 2023. The performance commemorates the 50th anniversary of the National Theater.
Estaciones is a tribute by dancers of The Ballet Nacional Dominicano, the country’s national ballet, to nature.
The ballet is a collaboration by choreographers Annabelle López Ochoa and Marianela Boán and is directed by Stephanie Bauger.
The dancers will perform “Leaves of Hope” (Hojas de Esperanza) by Annabelle López Ochoa; “Estaciones 04,” by Marianela Boán, and Camerata Stravaganza, with violinist Efrain Laran, based on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
The performances mix classic with contemporary.
