The Migration Agency says it returned five more members of a notorious Haitian gang to Haiti. The men are wanted for murder, aggravated robbery and armed robbery, among others. The men were deported on Sunday, 14 May 2023. The deported men were identified only as Yosel, Dyson, Usnel, Huonel and Ernest. They were arrested in Los Arroyos, in the southwestern Dominican province of Barahona, according to a press release from the Migration Agency (DGM).
In the press release, Migration Agency director Venancio Alcántara says Dominican authorities will continue to act against Haitian criminals and those of any other nationality who try to use the Dominican Republic as a hideout to evade justice in their respective countries.
