The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) says the new metro cars that will expand the mass transport service to six cars rather than the current three are coming this summer. The extra cars will be added to the Metro 1 line that runs North-South from Villa Mella to the Centro de los Heroes. According to the OPRET director, Rafael Santos Perez, the French manufacturers will be sending their technicians to test the new cars.
With the current schedule, service should be expanded in July 2023 and every month thereafter until all of the new cars enter service
