The Dominican Republic lost its three games in the first time a Dominican Team has played in a world cup soccer. The debutante U20 team lost to Nigeria 2-1, Brazil 6-0 and Italy 3-0. The emerging talents of the Dominican U20 team were “knocked out” in the tournament’s knockout stage. The team is outstanding in that, regardless of the loss in Argentina, it has qualified to play in the Paris Olympics.
