
The Ministry of Culture announces the celebration of the orange economy in the Dominican Republic with the hosting of the First National Congress of Creative Industries RD. The event is to take place from Friday, 16 June to Sunday, 18 June 2023 at the Plaza de la Cultura grounds in the capital city.
The event seeks to empower local entrepreneurs and cultural managers, providing the necessary tools to make creativity profitable.
Culture Minister Milagros German and Industry & Commerce Minister Ito Bisonó will give the welcoming remarks on Thursday, 15 June 2023 at 6pm at the Cinemateca Dominicana of the Museum of History & Geography in the Plaza de la Cultura.
Those interested in attending the talks and panels must register at the event’s website (see link below). The event is free of charge, although space is limited.
In addition to panels and talks and workshops, a National Handicrafts Fair will be open from 9am to 7pm. For the occasion, there will be dance and drama presentations and plastic arts exhibitions. In addition, various singers will perform musical performances every day, including Omar Quezada, Isaac Hernández, Josean Jacobo and Yellow Outlet.
