
Fares on the Los Alcarrizos Cable Car will cost RD$35.00 as of Saturday, 17 June 2023 but that includes the cable car route and a ride on one of the new feeder routes created by OMSA and operating under the Integrated Transportation System (SIT).
These new routes are the ones that go from Los Alcarrizos Station to Km. 9 of the Duarte Highway and the Expreso 27 de Febrero route that goes all the way to the “Huacalito” government offices.
Users will be able to pay in cash at the ticket office, using the Metro card, or the SDGo Integrated Transportation System card, which can be purchased and recharged at the Cable Car and Santo Domingo Metro stations.
Likewise, commuters can pay with all Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards containing EMV technology (those with the wifi symbol on the outside).
The Metro Office reports that the Los Alcarrizos Cable Car has transported around 750,000 commuters from the start of operations on 2 May 2023.
The hours of operation continue to be from Monday to Friday from 6am to 10pm, Saturdays from 6am to 8pm and Sundays and holidays from 8am to 8pm.
