The Abinader administration, via its Essential Medicine and Logistical Support Program(Promese) has announced the assignment of over RD$1.0 billion for the purchase of medicines and medical supplies for the nation’s hospitals.
The head of the Promese, Adolfo Perez read the results of the tender that had been opened according to Public Health Law 340-06. There were over 70 companies, and over 1,200 samples of medicines received by the program. Of these, nearly 900 were accepted, but there were 118 categories that were vacant and left without any offers.
The National Health Service (SNS) noted that the Ministry of Hacienda collaborated with the Promese program to obtain the necessary funding.
