The performances will be on Monday, 17 July 2023 at 8:30pm at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, Tuesday, 18 July 2023 at 6:30pm at the Gran Teatro del Cibao in Santiago and a chamber concert, open to the public, on Wednesday, 19 July 2023 at the Hemingway Club in Juan Dolio, in the beach town of San Pedro de Macorís.

Composed of outstanding young American instrumentalists, NYO2 is an orchestral program that, together with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) and NYO Jazz, comes together each summer to provide intensive training and performance opportunities.

The Carnegie Hall Youth Orchestra allows participating musicians, ages 14 to 17, to work closely with top musicians from US orchestras and conservatories during a residency at Purchase College of the State University of New York.

This summer, conductor Joseph Young leads the 80-member orchestra on its first international residency and concert tour in the Dominican Republic. Jennifer Koh, a violinist renowned for her commitment, virtuosity and technique will be the guest soloist.
