Homero Figueroa, spokesperson for the Presidency, informed on Tuesday, 4 July 2023 via Twitter that President Luis Abinader has been diagnosed with Covid-19. The President had a fever and was tested, he said.
“President Luis Abinader was diagnosed with Covid-19 after presenting a fever this evening. He is in good spirits resting at his residence. The scheduled agenda is suspended until the required days of isolation have been completed,” the official explained in his tweet.
