Following in the footsteps of his father Cooperstown Hall of Fame member, Vladimir Guerrero, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. won the 2023 MLB Homerun Derby on Monday, 10 July 2023. He and his father are now the first father-son combination to win the Derby.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit 25 home runs in the final round of the Home Run Derby to beat Cuban Randy Arozarena who hit 23.
Guerrero Jr’s father had won the competition in 2007, when his son was but eight years old.
