
Diario Libre reports on the Abinader administration’s plans through public-private alliances (Fideicomiso DO Sostenible) to deal with garbage dumps nationwide in coordination with the Ministry of Environment. An estimated RD$7 billion to RD$9 billion would be invested.
Armando Paíno Henríquez said that Solid Waste Law 225-20 mandates collection of new fees to improve how Dominicans dispose of waste. These funds are being channeled to better manage solid wastes in the country.
