
Relatives of missing people in the Dominican Republic have joined forces to lobby for the approval of the Amber Alert bill. The bill would allow them to search for missing persons quickly and for a follow-up protocol and resources coordinated with government entities.
The initiative was created by Yocasta Diaz, mother of 18-year old Alexander Moises Sang Diaz, who has been missing since 16 May 2022. Together with her, dozens of affected people are making the petition.
