A RD$3.60 billion tender to finish Baní beltway

The Dominican Republic government launched a RD$3.60 billion (US$63.5mn) tender to finish construction of the Baní beltway in Peravia province, approximately 45 km west of the capital city, Santo Domingo. The government announced that the tender FIDEICOMISO-CCC-LPN-2023-0004 is part of the country’s road preservation and expansion plan. The contrating terms were published by road trust Fideicomiso RDVial on the government procurement website.

The presentation of technical and economic proposals will take place on 7 September 2023, when the envelopes containing the technical bids will be opened.

Begun during the previous government, the beltway is reportedly at 70% progress. It has not been finished due to lack of funds, according to the current administration.
