The Dominican Republic U12 baseball team placed 4th in the World Baseball World Cup that ended 6 August 2023 in Taipei, Taiwan. Team USA won the championship, the most important 12 and under age group tournament in the world.
The DR team had defeated the USA team. Taiwan was undefeated until it lost to the USA in the finals and to Venezuela in the semi-finals and thus finished in third place. In the tournament, the Dominican team defeated Team USA.
