The 4th Coral Singing Festival is set for 31 August to 2 September 2023 at the Manuel Rueda hall of the National Conservatory located in the Iberoamerican Park. Maestro Elioenal Medina, director of the National Choir, said the event, named “Harmonies of Hope” brings together more than 20 choral groups, all from the National District, the capital city.
Among the participating choral groups are the choir of the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo, the Mixed Choir of the Instituto Dominico Americano, the Camerata of the Santo Domingo Chathedral, the National Choir, and children’s choirs.
The event is free of charge but expect long queues, so go early. It will be held on 31 August and 1 September at 7pm. On Saturday, 2 September, the choir singing begins at 5pm.
