
President Luis Abinader is set to travel to New York City on Friday, 11 August 2023. He will participate in the Dominican Parade in Manhattan on Sunday, 13 August 2023.
On the President’s agenda in New York City are several activities with the Dominican diaspora. He will participate in a gala dinner at the Greentree Country Club in the evening.
On Saturday, 12 August, the President will participate in a breakfast with Dominican consuls. He will also hand over keys to houses for Dominicans residing in the US during an event at the Dominican Consulate in NYC.
Later, the President will head to Inwood Hill Park for a meeting and photographs with the children of the oldest Little League baseball team in Manhattan.
At 1pm President Abinader will participate in an interviews for CNN, Telemundo and Univision at the InterContinental Hotel.
He will also meet with elected officials from northeastern NY at Columbia University. At the same venue, he will attend the Dominican Expat Institute (Index) awards ceremony at the Columbia University Alumni Hall.
On Sunday, 13 August, the head of state will have breakfast with NY Congressman Adriano Espaillat at the Hudson Restaurant, and at 1pm he will participate in the Dominican Parade.
