Las Galeras, on the easternmost tip of Samana, gets a Wyndham Alltra Samana as of 1 December 2023. Playa Hotels and Resorts announces the opening of the 404-room beach resort, the largest by far in the laid-back beach town of Las Galeras.
The hotel is taking reservations for stays starting 1 December 2023. Rates for the all-inclusive resort will start at US$198 per night based on double occupancy. Promotional rates are available now for those who book early.
The resort is the former Grand Paradise Samana, now fully renovated. Located in Las Galeras, on the easternmost tip of Samana, the resort has a secluded stretch of beach, four pools and nearly 12 different food and beverages outlets.
The hotel is marketed to those happy with a serene and relaxing escape to a tropical oasis to disconnect from everyday life.
The resort is 76 km from Samana’s International Airport but 2.5 hours from Las Americas International Airport in eastern Santo Domingo. Excursions include El Limon, Los Haitises National Park, and boat trips to Samana beaches, including Rincon, La Playita, Fronton and Madama.
This is the first Wyndham Alltra to open in the Dominican Republic. Three other Wyndham Alltra are located in Mexico.
