
The director of the Dominican Port Authority, Jean Luis Rodríguez announced that construction is advanced on the touristic and fishing port in Cabeza de Toro, part of the Punta Cana touristic area. The port is less than a 15-minute drive from the Punta Cana International Airport.
The new dock has a “T” type jetty with an extension of more than 57 meters. In addition, four walkways of 21.6 meters were added. The new port facility will have capacity for 30 shallow vessels and five larger vessels, catamaran-style.
Then new port is designed to benefit small and medium-sized entrepreneurs offering tourist excursions and leisure fishing and professional fishing activities.
