Architectural Digest has included a feature on a renovated barn house in Jarabacoa, the mountain vacation destination in central La Vega province.
Interestingly, the owner of the house took a century-old Pennsylvania English-style barn house and reassembled it for his dream house in the mountains, adding porches and other complements to the wooden structure now marked by voluminous bay windows.
Jarabacoa is located about a two-hour drive from Puerto Plata or Santo Domingo and one hour from Santiago.
