President Luis Abinader appointed Agustin Alberto Morillo Rodriguez his new chief of the Dominican Armada (Navy). In Decree 382-23 issued on 24 August 2023, President Abinader promoted Morillo Rodriguez to the rank of vice admiral and at the same time appointed him commander of the Dominican Armada.
He replaces Vice Admiral Francisco Antonio Sosa Castillo.
