The media has been full of evidence of the significant errors in the recent textbooks for public school education, responsibility of the newly created school book publishing unit of the Ministry of Education. Education Minister Angel Hernandez decided to have substantial savings and break deals with book publishing companies and that the Ministry of Education publish the books. The minister has downplayed the errors and says these will be corrected.
