The Soberano Awards are the Oscars ceremony for the best in the performing arts in the Dominican Republic. The show is the highest-rated live TV program for Dominican audiences. It is an opportunity to to grasp who is who in show business here and what is “in” regarding the local performing arts.
The 39th Soberano Awards will take place on Tuesday, 12 March 2024. The red carpet interviews start at 7pm as the artists begin arriving to the National Theater. The event is sponsored by the Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, the Presidente beer brewery.
Wanda Sánchez, president of the Dominican Artists Guild (Acroarte), explains that Acroarte teams are immersed in the organization work for the event within the framework of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the leading artistic grouping.
