As most readers know by now, the primaries for the ruling PRM party and others were held in October, establishing a selection of candidates for president, senators, deputies, and mayors.
The whole month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Thursday, 5 October 2023, the Billboard Latino awards will be announced in Coral Gables, Florida. The next day, 6 October is Cerebral Palsy Day, and it also the day when Elton John performs in Cap Cana.

The Pan American Games begin on 20 October in Santiago, Chile. Over 200 athletes from the Dominican Republic will participate, including the Caribbean Queens in volleyball and world champion Marileidy Paulino in track and field.
On 19 and 20 October, Colombian rocker Morat is the star at a rock concert at the Volleyball Pavilion in the Olympic Center,
On 25 October there will be a general earthquake simulation for the whole country with schools and universities participating. The Center for Emergency Operations (COE) organizes the earthquake trial to bring awareness among the population of the importance of prevention actions.
And perhaps the most important date of all: 27 October, the start of the winter baseball season.
