Lawyer and tourism industry expert, Andrés Marranzini has been named to direct the development of Punta Bergantín project in Puerto Plata. Punta Bergantín is next door to the Playa Dorada hotel and residential beach development.
Punta Bergantín is developed under the leadership of the Banco de Reservas, the government commercial bank.
Punta Bergantín features 6,760 new construction hotel rooms, 13,705 residential rooms and an academic campus aimed at promoting innovation.
The first phase calls for the construction of 700 hotel rooms, in an area of 2.76 million square meters.
In 2021, the Reservas Group acquired around 9.6 million square meters in the municipality of Villa Montellano, on the coast of Punta Bergantín, to develop the project into urban tourism.
Marranzini was at the helm of Asonahores for seven years. He has deep knowledge of the tourism industry and is a lawyer.
