Asonahores appoints Aguie Lendor as its new executive vice-president

The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) announced the appointment of Aguie Lendor as its new executive vice president. She replaces Andres Marranzini Grullon, who left the organization to lead the development of Punta Bergantín, the new hotel, residential and innovation development in Puerto Plata.

In making the announcement, David Llibre, president of Asonahores, said Lendor will contribute to the growth and sustainable development of the country’s tourism sector.

Asonahores reports its new executive vice-president is a magna cum laude lawyer from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo with a master’s degree in International Business Law from the Washington College of Law of American University (LL.M.) in Washington, DC, USA.

In addition, she is a specialist with more than 20 years of experience in international trade, mainly in investment, exports, drafting of legal and regulatory initiatives, and competitive analysis. She is also past executive vice president of the Dominican Association of Rum Producers (Adopron).

Lendor has been a consultant for several international organizations such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the South Korean Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Spanish Cooperation Agency, as well as for the European Union, national organizations such as the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) and governmental institutions of the country.
