About two weeks ago, the digital filing system of the Migration Agency (DGM) was hacked. According to DGM’s director general, Venancio Alcantara, these attacks were not entirely successful, and the migration agency is currently going through a process to beef up their cyber-security.
At the same time, the DGM has said that it is intensifying its investigations as to the origin of the hacking of its archives.
There is a tender on the DGM web page that seeks to upgrade the computers and software of the agency. The tender is understood as part of efforts to strengthen the institution’s cyber security.
