DR defeats Barbados in Concaf League of Nations

The Dominican Republic could move up to Level A of the CONCAF League of Nations, after the team has managed three wins in its four outings in the ongoing series.

On Tuesday, 17 October 2023, the DR defeated Barbados 5-2 at the Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago. Dorny Romero made the difference with a hat-trick when the DR went on the offensive after Barbados had been the first to goal.

Concaf reported that the Dominican Republic took the 5-2 victory over Barbados at the Cibao Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Thierry Gale found the back of the net in the 10’ to put Barbados up from the penalty spot. The spot kick was conceded on the previous play as goalkeeper Xavier Valdez attempted to secure the ball but tripped Codrington Shane.
