With the happening of the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, low cost carrier Arajet initiated on Monday, 30 October 2023, its regular flights to Chile’s capital city. The flights are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Arajet flies new Boeing 737-8s with a capacity for 185 passengers.
The flight connects Chilean travelers to 15 countries in the Americas. Arajet is turning Santo Domingo into a major regional hub in the Caribbean and the Americas. The Dominican Republic-based airline flies to destinations in the Caribbean and South America, but also to Toronto and Montreal in Canada.
Vinci Airports proudly announces that Arajet is now connecting two Vinci Airports for the first time. The new flight to Santiago de Chile’s Arturo Meriño Benítez Airport from Las Americas International in Santo Domingo makes this happen.
Aerodom’s director of Corporate Communication, Luis José López, highlighted the new connection to Santiago de Chile has a special meaning for Vinci Airports, the parent company of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), since it connects two terminals that belong to its airport network.
“It has been a day of extreme joy for all of us who are part of Vinci Airports because for the first time a Dominican airline is connecting two airports in the network,” he said during the event to inaugurate the flight.
Arajet is the official transporter of the Dominican delegation to the 2023 Pan Am Games.
