Dr. Senen Caba was hospitalized on Thursday, 27 October and diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). ACS is the term doctors use to describe a range of conditions related to sudden, reduced blood flow to the heart.

Senén Caba was subject to a catheterization process, while there was no need for surgery, reported the doctors who treated him. He was interned in the Intensive Care Unit to ensure top care to his condition, but he did not suffer a heart attack, as suspect originally.
