The Ministry of Foreign Relations (Mirex) reports on the expected visit of Jamaica Minister of Foreign Relations and Trade Kamina Johnson Smith on Tuesday, 7 November 2023 for a two-day official visit.
She is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez on Wednesday, 8 November and participate in an expanded high-level bilateral meeting behind closed doors on that same day.
On Minister Johnson’s agenda is also speaking at a conference at the MIREX Convention Center.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations explained that this official visit is part of the Dominican government’s strategy of having greater rapprochement with the Caribbean countries, contemplated in its foreign policy plan.
