A cold front is finally announced. It will bring relief after months of the hottest summer and fall anyone can remember. Meteorologist Jean Suriel posts on his X (Twitter) account that the polar air is here and will remain until Friday, cooling off temperatures in general. Most of the country will see temperatures in the early morning under 20C. Temperatures of around 1C for the mountain peaks in the Central Mountain Range are forecast.
The Weather Office (Onamet) announces sunny skies for Wednesday and Thursday. High surf conditions are also expected, especially on the North Coast, where people are warned to take precautions when at sea or at the beach.
