The Central Bank reports that October is the best month so far in 2023, as revealed by the Monthly Indicator of Economic Activity (IMAE) index. Growth in October was 3.6%, exceeding the 3.1% growth in September 2023.
So far in 2023, the IMAE has been: January: 0.4%, February 1.8%, March 2.1, April 0.3%, May 2.4%, June 0.1%, July 2.9%, August 2.0%, September 3.1% and October 3.6%.
The Central Bank reports that the dynamic tourism sector boosted the economy, followed by increases in construction and agriculture activities in October.
