Three Dominican members of the senior women’s volleyball team (Las Reinas del Caribe) have made the Volleybox top 10 rankings for 2023. On its list of the best volleyball players in the world, Volleybox rated Brenda Castillo as the best libero.
The top-ranked Dominican players are:
Outside hitter Brayelin Martinez (No. 2)
Libero Brenda Castillo (No. 4)
Outside hitter Yonkaira Peña (No. 6)
Middle-blocker Jineiry Martinez (No. 19)
Middle-blocker Geraldine Gonzalez No. 29)
Setter Niverka Marte (No. 30)
Volleybox rankings are based on the positions of the player’s teams in tournaments played in 2023 and individual awards won by players in 2023.
