
Former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodriguez understands that the United States government will change its opinion, once he presents his side of the story. Rodriguez is accused of major corruption during his term as attorney general during the last term of President Danilo Medina.
The United States government has issued a ban on his entry to the United States and also included his wife and two minor children in the ban.
The decision of the US government is similar to that levied by the US State Department in the case of Senator Felix Bautista, who was a high-ranking officer during the governments of former President Leonel Fernandez who despite major evidence against him was able to come clean in the Dominican judiciary. Transparency International ranked Bautista as one of the most corrupt people in the world.
