President Luis Abinader was all praise for fellow Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) activist, today senator for the National District Faride Raful, when interviewed on the program El Sol de la Mañana. Raful has called for the ruling PRM to decide on the PRM candidacy for senator (the party reserved the right to choose the candidate) and says she wants to seek reelection.
President Luis Abinader said Raful is ” a star of a leader.” Nevertheless, he left open everyone’s speculation that she would not be the choice for senator for the National District when he added that the National District was too small for Raful.
Abinader said Raful is a “figure with a great political future” in the country when asked about the senator;s apprehension that the party has not announced its choice for senator.
