Ines Aizpun will no longer be the executive editor of Diario Libre as of the end of January 2024. Grupo Diario Libre announced she is resigning for personal reasons.
Diario Libre last year changed ownership to the Grupo Punta Cana. The newspaper’s founding journalist, Anibal de Castro is again heading the news operation. The newspaper did not announce Aizpun’s replacement.
Aizpun is remembered for her incisive short editorials. She has been with the newspaper for 25 years and has served as executive editor for the past three years after the retirement of Adriano Miguel Tejada.
