Ministry of Economy is bullish on Dominican economy for 2024

Economy Minister Pável Isa Contreras sees a positive outlook for the Dominican economy in 2024. He forecasts regional above-average numbers at the macroeconomic level, high growth, and low inflation. Julissa Cespedes him for her 55 Minutos investigative program on CDN, Channel 37.

“I perceive the year 2024 as one that is going to be quite positive at a macroeconomic level,” said Isa Contreras, pointing out that the forecasts indicate that 2024 will be a better year than 2023 with a growth of the Dominican economy around 4.75%.

He said the DR will grow the most in the entire region, excluding Guyana, where the country is enjoying a windfall in cash given the new oil extraction activity.
