Techs for the former ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) were able to hack the computer systems that will be used for the 2024 municipal elections. The systems are being tested before they go to use for the 2024 municipal election on 18 February 2024.
Tommy Galán, spokesperson for the PLD, alerted the Central Electoral Board (JCE) needs to install better protection of its electronic voting systems.
