
Georges Thevenet, the French-Dominican wood art and furniture maker, was allowed to post bail for RD$79,000 and await the trial against him for the deaths of two due to a termite fumigation gone tragically bad. A mother and her baby died when the fumes penetrated their apartment located below the fumigated apartment. He cannot leave the country as his trial is heard.
He is charged with involuntary murder and violation of health and environment laws.
