
The Santo Domingo Skylift that takes passengers across the Ozama River is set to resume service on Wednesday, 31 January 2024. The skylift has been out of service for maintenance works that extended more than initially announced.
The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (Opret) reported service on the cable car that goes from Gualey Station to the Sabana Perdida Station will resume after routine maintenance works on the cabling iss completed.
The service transports 10 to 12 thousand passengers daily. These pay RD$20.00 for a fare that includes a transfer to the Santo Domingo Metro for commuters to reach their final stop.
During the maintenance period, OMSA buses offered the ground service.
