Board of the Olympic Committee is back to work on the Dominican Olympic Games delegation

The Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) is back in the flow of activities after the recent impasse amongst its members was resolved with the return of three of the six resigning members to the board. The six members had resigned on 9 January 2024, but a legal consultation revealed this was not enough to force new elections and eventually, two of the members requested to be readmitted. The other four would also request to be readmitted, but the COD rejected readmitting José Manuel Ramos of the Equestrian Federation; Radhamés Tavárez of the Swimming Federation and Juan Núñez of the Baseball Federation. Francis Soto of the Federation of Bowling, Irina Perez of the Federation of Sailing and Jorge Blas Federation of Cycling were readmitted.

The COD is immersed in the preparation of the Dominican delegation to the Paris Olympic Games this summer.
