The tragic case of Esmeralda Richiez in Punta Cana is again postponed, now for 20, 21 February and 6 March 2024. The prosecutors say the autopsy revealed the 16-year old girl had died as a consequence of violent sex with her professor, the accused Jhon Kelly Martinez.
The legal defense of Kelly is seeking at most a five-year sentence for sexual abuse.
The family says it just wants the judicial case to be over.
The case is heard at the First Degree Collegiate Court of La Altagracia.
