
The Ramos family of La Sirena, Supermercados Pola, Aprezio and Multiplaza announces it has begun the road away from a family affair to a major corporation.
Mercedes Ramos, chief executive, announced the family members will now participate in a board. They are delegating the executive vice presidency to Iván José Mejía Alberty.
Mejia Alberty first joined the company in 2014 as leader of the Transformation Program. In 2019, he was promoted to vice president of Logistics. In February 2021, he was appointed vice president of Format Strategy and Execution, a position he currently holds.
Mejia Alberty has a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, with a specialization in Process Management from Hammer and Company and an Executive MBA from Northwestern University.
